Four US banks were closed by regulators on 7 May 2010, bringing the number of US bank failures in the year to date to 68. These recent failures will cost the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp US$213m.

 

Bank robber’s 'bucket list' hit

A chronically ill woman arrested for robbing a bank in the US claimed it was just something she wanted to do before she died, according to FoxNews.

“There was no plan, no nothing, just impulse,” Edwards told the news organisation.

“I just walked by. I said, ‘I’m goin’ in there’...passed a note to gain some cash and I left.”

“[I did it] because it was something I had on my bucket list... I think everyone should have a list of things they want to do before they expire.”

The woman was accused of robbing a Bank of America branch.
